Since 2016 the US government has acted with vigilance to remove all unapproved opinions from the internet. With great success, all the independent websites have had their web hosting and domains shut down. Chat rooms and free discussion message boards have been closed. Reddit no longer allows posts from new accounts unless they have karma, and you cannot get karma. For a new user, you will never be able to post.
With these protections and more, the internet is mostly cleaned up. You cannot post most opinions or you will be instantly banned. You cannot post videos on YouTube because copyright law will remove them. You cannot post memes because you will be arrested. You cannot post jokes or you will lose your job. You cannot be offensive or your college degree will be retracted. You cannot say something about “Hitler,” or you will be cancelled and lose your bank account.
But many of us are wondering, how can we find out which thoughts we are allowed to have?
Most of us have had this experience: We make a post on Facebook or Twitter and moments later we are banned. We try to enter our account, but you must use two factor authentication. That fails and you must write an appeal letter to support explaining why you want to access your account. You must provide a detailed log of your activity and bank statements.
We live in a safe internet. Not even a single swear word can be typed on a US keyboard or the police will be knocking on your door.
I only have one question. How are we supposed to know what we are allowed to believe? For example, somebody at the drug store told me I’m not a man anymore because there are no men or women. That’s great! But how do they know this? I know the government sets our opinions but where do we go or who do we call so they can tell us what we are allowed to believe? Honestly wondering, how do I read the indoctrination so that I won’t have to go to a re-education camp? Please help.
